Plasma Cutting

Plasma cutting is a metal fabrication process that uses an ionized gas heated to over 20,000 degrees Celsius to melt a metal material. This gas is sprayed at high pressure, melting the material and removing it from the incision.

Plasma Cutting:

1.High cut quality

Compared to other metal manufacturing processes such as flame cutting and waterjet cutting, cutting with a plasma cutter provides a higher cut quality for the metal. This is due to the fact that there is no residual scuss at the edge of the metal cut-out and the area of the heat-affected zone is small.

2.Versatility and flexibility

This process can cut any conductive metal, which makes it versatile. It can easily cut metals such as aluminum and high-alloy steel in medium and high thicknesses. It's perfect for groove cutting, planning, or marking metal. In addition, the process can also cut metal in water with reduced noise levels.

3.High speed

Plasma cutting is 100 times faster than laser cutting and about 10 times faster than flame cutting. In other words, it increases productivity and reduces the time spent on metal fabrication compared to other methods.

4.Greater accuracy and repeatability

Due to the heat involved in the process, the cut parts have greater precision and surface quality. In addition, the manufacturing speed improves repeatability while reducing the time spent processing metal.
